How much did you spend on photography in the past year?

We are trying to understand how the spending habits of our listeners in photography has evolved. As such, here is a new poll.

Photography is expensive. It was expensive when the main medium was film, and is expensive with digital.

Whether as a hobby or a more professional level, the constant requirements (the needs or wants) of investing in equipment upgrades, software, workshops, etc is a constant and not so small drain on the budgets.

So, to try to understand the photography spending habits of our listeners, here is a new poll.

Do not count your time, but everything else from equipment, software, books, workshops, …

What’s your photography Budget for 2010?

Are you planning to re-invest a percentage of your income on your hobby / business? Do you have a certain piece of gear that you’re planning to buy this year? How much are you going to spend on your photography in 2010?

2010 is here and well under way. Hopefully, you’ve invested some of your time on planning your photography projects and setting some goals for the year. If not, no worries, you’re still on time  you should really do at least some thinking.

And with planning and goals and all of this, the ubiquitous subject of budget should also be one of your considerations.

Let’s put in numbers. How much are you planning to spend this year on photography (gear, workshops, books, prints, etc.)?
